The performance Griot<\/em> takes the audience on a journey through a dialogue between a griot and a dancer undergoing an initiation rite. This conversation unfolds between an instructive voice-over and a body absorbing its powerful words, guiding the dancer through key stages of the ritual process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through poetry, proverbs, praise, and intense movement, the piece immerses itself in a transformation where the soul and spirit of the dancer\u2014future griot\u2014rise. The questions raised by initiation rites lead step by step toward wisdom. Transmission is at the heart of the relationship between a master and their student or a parent and their child, but it is never a linear path. Between resistance, deep questioning, and revelation, the journey becomes a search for both ancestral culture and self-discovery.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

It is within this kind of personal quest that Krump and its raw energy take shape. Inner states shift at lightning speed, giving rise to bodies vibrating with intensity, reflecting these turbulent times. They expose both the best and the worst within us all.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
