Can we still trust what we see? What do you rely on to understand the world, your eyes, your brain, social media, artificial intelligences? FauxFaire FauxVoir (Fake Make, Fake Sight) is a magical, cognitive, and connected show that questions our perceptions, our beliefs, and the new tools that shape our realities.

This modern magic performance explores, with curiosity, how our senses and beliefs can deceive us. Magic doesn’t rely solely on quick gestures or skillful tricks performed by the artist, it also works through what we consider true, our memories, and the shortcuts our brain takes. In this show, the magicians play with these gaps and reveal just how fragile our perception of the world can be. On stage, magic becomes a living experience, a playground where science and illusion meet. We marvel, we doubt, we reflect. Here, doubt is no longer a sign of weakness, but a way to open our eyes. Letting ourselves be surprised then becomes a beautiful way to learn to see differently.

Cultural action and mediation

As part of its Artistic and Cultural Education (EAC) policy, La Villette will welcome in 2025/26 more than 16,000 pupils and participants from social-sector organizations or healthcare and medico-educational institutions, as well as 2,000 university students.
