As a local cultural platform, the Micro-Folie network helps making culture accessible to everyone by bringing together several thousand masterpieces from numerous regional, national, and international museums ans institutions.
What’s a Micro-Folie ?
A Micro-Folie is a modular space offering playful access to works from the greatest national museums through the Digital Museum, which is the heart of the facility. It presents over 3,200 digitized artworks made available thanks to a network partners which includes 205 national, regional, or international cultural institutions. In addition to the Digital Museum, a Micro-Folie also offers complementary activities such as a fab lab, a Virtual Reality space, a stage, or a Folie Café (café, library, game library). It is designed as a community cultural facility, to support and showcase local initiatives.

The Micro-Folie project is developped around a Digital Museum in collaboration with 12 founding national cultural institutions: the Centre Pompidou, the Palace of Versailles, the Cité de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris, the Festival d’Avignon, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Louvre, the Musée national Picasso-Paris, the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, the Paris National Opera, Grand Palais Rmn, Universcience, and La Villette.
