GRÜNT FESTIVAL

For its fourth edition, this autumn event for rap fans is setting up shop at the Grande Halle de la Villette and inviting the best of today’s and tomorrow’s alternative scene.

In the more than ten years of its existence, Grünt has borne witness to the advent of a new rap generation. From PLK to Alpha Wann, including La Fève, the medium has established itself as the voice of a burgeoning independent scene. Its anthological freestyle videos, documentaries and top-notch reports, which have racked up millions of views, constitute the verbatim record of a new school of rhyming that is innovative, musical, and never runs out of breath! Since 2022, the Grünt spirit has  adopted the festival format, with the goal of promoting emerging talent. After hosting debut performances by Luther, Theodora, NeS and Houdi, headliners of the “new gen”, the 2025 edition continues to pass the mic to a new French rap, including the groove of Ino Casablanca, the Marseilles rapper Asinine and her autotuned melancholy, and the DMV Flow of Sherifflazone, among others. It also features the proponents of a “Grünt generation”, Swiss rapper Mairo with his mathematical rap, the insolent enthusiasm of H JeuneCrack, Lesram’s art of the rhyme, as well as an original piece about Belgian rapper-producer JeanJass, among many other surprises. Grünt Festival stands for culture!
