For this new edition, Golden Stage brings together the raw energy of hip-hop and contemporary choreographic writing. The evening opens with a short piece selected through the Freestyle Villette call for projects, followed by Gray from the British company Boy Blue, a manifesto-like work oscillating between oppression and liberation, and then Insectes by Léa Cazauran, a choreographic fable exploring survival and resilience.

Opening Show by MADROOTZ
A new highlight of Golden Stage, the opening show showcases an original creation from the Freestyle Villette call for projects. Bringing together prominent figures and leaders of the Krump movement, Madrootz will lead the opening of this upcoming edition, celebrating the diversity and excellence of today’s hip-hop scene.

LÉA CAZAURAN / CIE LADY ROCKS · Insectes (Insects)
In Insectes, Léa Cazauran contrasts breakdance with insect behavior, two forms of physical resistance in hostile environments. Five dancers embody these often rejected but resilient creatures. Grounded support, speed, repetition: a physical and organic dance, fueled by Aloïse Sauvage’s voice and a hip-hop soundtrack. A choreographic manifesto on survival, adaptation, and the power of the tiny.

CIE BOY BLUE · Gray
Driven by vital energy, Gray explores the intimate and political tensions of the contemporary world. The British company Boy Blue delivers a dense and striking piece where hip-hop becomes a language of revolt, memory, and liberation. An excerpt from the triptych Blak Whyte Gray, this manifesto work deploys powerful and visceral dance. Widely acclaimed by UK critics and awarded multiple times.
