FREESTYLE VILLETTE OPENING
Maison des cultures urbaines
Freestyle Villette
A new venue dedicated to popular expression and urban cultures opens its doors on October 4 at Parc de La Villette !
To celebrate its opening, La Villette has invited the National Choreographic Center of Rennes and Brittany, Buzz Booster, and artist FUZI to create an inaugural program that is both multidisciplinary and festive.
Hip-hop dance, music, battles, DJ sets, and street art are on the program. Audiences of all ages are invited to discover the new face of the former Pavillon Villette through the disciplines that will bring it to life throughout the year. Dance workshops, concerts, artistic performances, participatory experiences, and DJ sets will animate the day and evening.
PROGRAM
STREET ART
Live mural with FUZI, Julien Marmar, Maxime Drouet and Trane
From 9 a.m.
Starting in the morning, at the invitation of La Villette and FUZI, graffiti artists will join him in taking over panels installed around Freestyle Villette.
A French artist, FUZI expresses his universe across multiple disciplines: painter, illustrator, photographer, tattoo artist, author – but above all a graffiti writer recognized by his peers. He made his mark in the mid-1990s with his own style of graffiti, the Ignorant Style, defined by a deliberately naïve look and minimalist drawings. In 2020, he launched the first French podcast dedicated to graffiti, with more than 90 episodes and one million listens.

LES RATZ & SONS OF WIND
Dance workshops open to everyone!
Intro sessions every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Opening with Les Ratz and Sons of Wind for an introduction to hip-hop dances.
LES RATZ
A strong identity on the Rennes scene, Les Ratz form a breaking crew fueled by a passion for hip-hop movement in its raw energy. Together, they embody a true artistic movement where breaking, graffiti, DJing, and skate culture intersect. Cultivating a dynamic where individuality strengthens the collective reflects their shared vision: to defend a living, organic art that goes beyond performance to become a means of expression, connection, and transformation through each of their projects.

SONS OF WIND
They call themselves “Les fils du vent” (Sons of Wind), and today they take over the stage to infuse it with their spirit of conquest, a free-flowing movement constantly circulating through bodies and space.
Masters of freestyle, they transform their hip-hop into a collective celebration that extends beyond music and dance. Beneath the apparent ease of their gestures unfolds a universe that draws its strength from the power of rebound. Between release and outburst, the momentum of their dance blends into a complete mastery of a shared movement, one that lifts bodies in a union that is solidary, joyful, and free.
The Sons of Wind (SOW) embody a lifestyle. Since their creation in 2013, they have explored the world of hip-hop freestyle, through movement as well as music, in order to champion a cultural heritage that bridges past and future.

TOERA – National Buzz Booster 2025 Winner
Concert
8 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
Toera is the national winner of Buzz Booster 2025. As rational as she is spiritual, as rebellious as she is naïve, she asserts her uncompromising personality across two EPs released in 2024 under the provocative title PETITE CONNE.
With a third project, VALEUR TRIPLE, the artist, who took her name from Erato, the erotic and poetic muse, continues her provocative and lustful introspection. Inspired by the storytelling of singer Camille, the verbose egotrip of Mairo, and the avant-garde of Luther, her music also bears the transgressive imprint of punk and rave culture.
She delivers sharp punchlines with technical rap, anchored in a dark, immersive universe. A trained singer, she moved from choir to jam sessions, from jams to open mics. Well known across the Lyon scene, she confirmed her rising status by reaching the finals of the Rappeuz competition, and by opening for Sto & thaHomey as well as Hugo TSR & Fonky Family.

ENOCK – National Buzz Booster 2024 Winner
Concert
8:45 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Enock is the national winner of Buzz Booster 2024. A solo artist from Perpignan, Enock is a solitary figure, both in his creative process, composing, recording, and mixing most of his tracks himself, and in his lyrics, where solitude is a recurring theme. His artistic project draws on various influences (Hamza, Luidji, Frank Ocean, etc.), which he has made his own to create a unique and personal sound.
Enock represents a generation of young prodigies educated and connected by the internet. For his first project in 2022, he collaborated with Yvnnis and performed as the opening act for Gemen. Later, he shared the stage with Zola at the Zenith in Toulouse. Today, he is considered one of the artists to watch in the emerging rap scene.

National Choreographic Center of Rennes and Brittany – CCNRB
The National Choreographic Center of Rennes and Brittany is part of the network of 19 national choreographic centers, founded in 1984. Since January 2019, the collective FAIR-E, composed of Bouside Ait Atmane, Iffra Dia, Céline Gallet, Linda Hayford, Saïdo Lehlouh, Marion Poupinet, and Ousmane Sy (1975–2020), has been leading this choreographic center, whose name has reverted to CCNRB.
The first collective appointed to head a national center, it broadly represents a new generation emerging from hip-hop dance and champions choreography by female and male authors that fully asserts its place in the contemporary dance landscape. Its project revolves around a space that moves between the margins and the center to better understand the needs of the territory and emerging artists.
