Designed as a platform that brings together and connects initiatives from across France, Freestyle Villette is based in a dedicated venue, the former Pavillon Villette, and unfolds throughout the year as a program of events across the entire park.
A major player in popular cultures for over 40 years, La Villette has launched this project to give greater recognition to a new generation of artists. As a venue for programming, creation, and transmission, this new home embraces the aesthetics of popular and alternative cultures, from the club scene to electronic music.
A house open to all popular cultures
Freestyle Villette is permanently established in the north of Parc de la Villette, in a dedicated space open to everyone: the former Pavillon Villette, a 1,000 m² venue that has been completely renovated for the occasion.
As a space for programming, creation, and learning, Freestyle Villette aims to promote all practices of popular culture, rap, hip-hop, graffiti, urban sports, and more.
