100% L'EXPO
A snapshot of the emerging creative scene – 8th Edition
Since its launch in 2018, 100% L’EXPO has offered a demanding and curated overview of emerging French artists, with free and open access for all. Each year, La Villette gives carte blanche to a selection of recently graduated artists, inviting them to take over the Grande Halle with new, bold and engaged works. Conceived as a professional springboard, 100% L’EXPO represents, for many of these artists, their first experience of a large-scale collective exhibition.
The 2026 edition of 100% L’EXPO, expanded for the first time to include any artist who has earned a national higher diploma in visual arts within the past five years, brings together around thirty recent graduates from nineteen of France’s forty art schools.
An eclectic snapshot of the emerging scene
Neither a contemporary art fair nor a thematic exhibition, 100% L’EXPO offers a panorama of contemporary practices, where forms, techniques, media, and narratives intersect and converse.
As an active supporter of emerging artists, La Villette provides a platform for artistic proposals that question our relationship with the world and explore what it means to create art today.
What artistic, political, and societal issues shape the early careers of artists under 30? How has their perception of their social role as artists evolved in recent years? What challenges, opportunities, and possibilities do they face? These are just some of the questions that animate over 3,000 m² of the Grande Halle from April 8 to 26, 2026.
A program of performances and live art accompanies the exhibition, with two highlights this year: Lululululeesh by Palestinian artists Marah Haj Hussein and Nur Garabli, presented on April 9 and 10, and a major performance weekend on April 18 and 19.
