Bob et Casquette

Two playmates try to put on a puppet show, but nothing goes as planned. Resourcefulness comes to the rescue of a theater that literally explodes, bursting forth with imagination and uproarious laughter.
Their miniature theater barely opened, it’s a disaster: everything collapses, nothing works. A rough start for Bob and Casquette’s performance, who fortunately are handy with tools. The genius of improvisation, repurposing objects, and clever arrangements—that talent known as tinkering—soon becomes their greatest ally. New levers and possible twists spring in abundance from the inventions of the two partners, themselves surprised by their own discoveries. In a colorful array of bright ideas and silly antics, the actors manipulate objects and puppets live on stage to better defy failure. The duo explores all dynamics: lifts performed with four hands, two heads or twenty fingers, and every kind of relationship—harmony, discord, hierarchy, solidarity, jealousy, and above all, friendship. With the electric humor that spices their creations, Laura Fouqueré and Cyril Ollivier present a play that delicately addresses themes of repair and perseverance in a burst of energy aimed at children.
