In her Récréations philosophiques, Stéphanie Aflalo orchestrates lively and unexpected encounters between theatre and philosophy. With Tout doit disparaître, she draws on her relationship with her father to offer a meditation on grief and time.

Starting from an intimate fear, Stéphanie Aflalo stages a dialogue with her father, conceived to endure beyond his disappearance. Appearing on a screen suspended above a piano, in the very place where the television stands in the family home, he speaks to her from the past, through a recording, while she responds live on stage, from the present moment of the performance.
