Over the course of a special event evening, Golden Stage once again forges connections between generations of hip-hop artists this year, bringing together three top-tier dance collectives. Hosted by the MC Jimmy Yudat and concluding with a shared moment between the performers and the audience, the show unites the barefoot divas of Nicolas Huchard, the Artizans of French hip-hop from the 1990s/2000s, and the group Sons of Wind, which delves into the history of freestyle.

The group SOW (which stands for Sons Of Wind) returns to the origins of freestyle hip-hop, clips of which has come to flood our social media screens. With this high-energy, grooving piece, guided by a love of music and sounds composed specifically for this occasion, the dancers travel between various eras of movement. They embody the values of freestyle in the present: respect, sharing, brother- and sisterhood, and pushing oneself past one’s limits.

Born from a lightning-strike encounter between choreographer Nicolas Huchard and five dancers, La Diva aux pieds nus celebrates the strength, collective energy, and faith of these women through the power of dance. At the crossroads of cultures, styles, and influences, Séréna Freira, Julie Laventure, Leila Miretti, Stéphie Téhoué, and Mayvis William dance to transform norms and reinvent themselves.

Seven legendary dancers from the Battle generation of the 1990s/2000s reunite on stage to revive the energy and excitement of an era. Through DJ sets and dazzling dance performances, they create a space for dialogue, where they confront their inspirations, styles, and identities in a threefold approach of memory, transmission, and affirmation. These guardians of the craft share the excellence of French hip-hop, a legacy and set of values they have represented on the international stage for over twenty years.
The show will be signed by Jules Turlet, hip-hop dancer and chansigneur, who will take on the role of MC in French Sign Language (LSF) for this year’s Golden Stage.
