La Voie de l’écuyère illustrates the spirit and the sensitivity of the school-company that has been established for over 20 years in the Château de Versailles’ Grande Écurie.
Choreographed by Bartabas and the women horse-riders of the Versailles Equestrian Academy, La Voie de l’écuyère illustrates the spirit and the sensitivity of the school-company that has been established for over 20 years in the Château de Versailles’ Grande Écurie.
Based on the passing down of knowledge, the repertory show sees the new promotion of horse riders evolve on novel choreographies and reinterpret the emblematic pieces that earned the Versailles Equestrian Academy its success, such as the horseback fencing reprisal, the Sorraias long reins ballet, as well as the singing carrousel.
It is therefore to this artistic sensitivity and this constant dialogue between the arts that the evolving show La Voie de l’écuyère bears witness.
This project has been labelled by Paris 2024 in the framework of the Olympiade Culturelle.
